The reality for this current Taiwan Authority wishing for an Independent Taiwan nation is for them to fight for it with their lives, bloods and tears. No nation becomes Independent without going through the Baptism of Fire; even the USA had to fight the British / Spannard Empires to gain Independence. The Billion Dollar question is: Will the Taiwanese be willing to destroy all that they have achieved today for a crippled war-torn Independent Taiwan.
Ai ya it wouldn’t be year 2034, should be much earlier. With the offensive weaponry usa supply to Taiwan it won’t be longer then 2024 or 2025 or even be earlier if China felt the weaponry supply to Taiwan China felt are threatening.

对 大陆而言，武统之战 有至少三重目的：
最低目的：结束百年内战，完成国家统一。
中间目的：威慑敌手走狗诸国，死心蠢动。
最高目的：显示战略军事能力，给盟友小弟树立依附跟随的信心，为皈依的利益集团众盟友，支起战略保护伞。

不同？ 1945 美军是 是 第一代 技术，武统，大陆解放军 是 使用 洁净的， 小规模精准杀伤，避免祸及平民的 的 第三代 和 第三代半（美国 给 西德/东德 内战设计的） 技术。

估计 武统之战 ，大陆军队 会 学*美军 放弃 对日本岛作战的 Operation Downfall ，而是 采用 “1945 日本模式”，用更先进的，更小伤亡，更低成本，更加有效，一次性击溃 日本“一亿玉碎，决战本土” 的 战斗和抵抗意志 的 战法。原因？ 大陆流行一种说法：“摸着美军过河！”
