I would like to see the economist write a story that tries to answer the question of why the post war economy tends to do so well? If we’re told that too much government spending on things the economy might actually utilize, leads to ruinous unintended consequences? Then how is it government’s were able to spend tons of money on weapons that were never used again, while the economy subsequently did well?
