Hmmm America has always, and that is true, historically came to the rescue of Taiwan. But never has China with sufficient strength to not only repel, but to deal significant damage, if not out right annihilate the US led expedition force. Never has China, with the capability to deploy, and project direct mass damage to US main land. Never was that the case in the past, and never have the US military engaging in a toe to toe conflict with another super power - one with strategic capability to reduce the US mainland into a wasteland - no doubt, the US can do the same to China in total annihilation.
